Lyst Revival

The Utyl Business Platforms supermarket price comparison idea, but with modern tech and a different approach.

Original concept: Crowdsourced prices, optimized shopping lists by price and location.

Why it failed: Tried to partner with supermarkets who didn’t want price transparency.

New approach: Skip the partnerships. Build it as a consumer tool, let users contribute data, focus on community rather than B2B. PWA with barcode scanning, Supabase backend, maybe some AI for receipt parsing.

The tech is a weekend project now. The question is whether there’s a sustainable community model without retailer buy-in.

Digiploma-Web

Digital diplomas and certificates with QR code validation.

The idea: Issue credentials that can be printed but also verified online. Scan the QR code, see if the diploma is legit. Useful for:

• Online course certificates
• Workshop attendance
• Any credential that gets faked

Why build it: Plenty of solutions exist, but building my own would be fun. Could integrate with Supabase for auth and storage, generate PDFs with embedded verification codes.

Not urgent. Just sounds like a satisfying weekend project.

This list will grow. Ideas are cheap, execution is expensive. These are the ones that keep nagging at me.
